A theatrical poetic musical journey from the past to the future. Music as an outcry of the unheard, art as a powerful expression of self-determination and resistance. Against racism and for equality. Offensive celebration of individuality and solidarity. What can we learn from history(s)? What does freedom mean? How do we want to live? These and other central questions, which have taken on a completely new have taken on a completely new scope, are posed by the collective FORMATION**NOW in At the End of the Revolution.

Will we ever reach the day when racism no longer structures societies? How much longer will the “process” of change take??

Am Ende der Revolution (At the End of the Revolution) is “a theatrical poetically musical journey from the past into the future.” At its core, it’s a play about being fed up with only gradual social change. It critically questions Germany’s memory culture via an exploration of Black-led resistances in Germany. From artist activists like the well-known poet May Ayim to lesser-known figures like pianist Kwasi Bruce and protest singer Fasia Jansen, Am Ende der Revolution offers a change of perspective regarding whitewashed German history, by a diverse group of people that make up the Hamburg-based artist collective FORMATION**NOW.
