Do you have ideas for a performance? Are you already writing, hoping to, or curious how your ideas might be compellingly presented on stage? Do you need help puzzling things together in an imaginative way? Is devising the same as writing, and if you are devising, are you writing? This 8-session workshop invites participants to develop short-form pieces using various creative methods. Explore a variety of approaches to presenting and performing your ideas and writings on stage, and hopefully toward a larger work. Writer-performers and all levels of experience are welcome. The workshop concludes with a final presentation that will be open to the public. Writers need not perform, and performers need not write. Bring a rough draft under five minutes for development. It can be a single piece or part of a larger project. One missed session can be made up, with group agreement on a suitable date. Led by PushPush Co-founder Shelby Hofer.
